Nora Langgood Powell

Nora Langgood Powell, of Wilton Manors passed away with her family by her side on Friday April 10, 2026, at age of 63. A lifelong resident who is survived by her Son Patrick of Jacksonville Beach, Florida; her brothers Michael of Pompano Beach and John (Alyssa) of Melbourne, Florida. Nora is also survived by her Partner, Scott Newton, and her ex-husband Clinton Powell. Nora graduated from Ft. Lauderdale High school Class of 1980, Where she was loved by and served as Vice President of her class. She continued her education at Palm Beach Junior College and earned a degree in Dental Hygiene. She also attended Florida Atlantic University where she obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources. Ultimately Nora Graduated from Nova Southeastern University with her Masters and Doctorate Degrees. Prior to Nora’s illness she was the Dean of Allied Health Sciences at Broward College. Family will be receiving friend from 9 AM till Service Time. A Funeral service will be held Saturday April 18, 2026, at Christ Community Church 901 E. McNab Road in Pompano Beach at 11:00 AM, Burial to Follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Ft. Lauderdale. Online condolences can be shared at edkalis.com.
