Edwards, Keith Thomas of Fort Lauderdale, died suddenly on June 30, 2020. Keith was born on April 3,1956 in Randolph, Massachusetts, was a 47 year resident of Fort Lauderdale and a 25 year employee in Broward County Government. He is survived by his wife Allison of Wilton Manors, his loving daughter Shannon K. Edwards of Fort Lauderdale, and his mother, Katherine Edwards of Pompano Beach. He is preceded in death by his father, Lucius Edwards of Guilford, Maine. He is also survived by sisters Kris Mazzeo and her husband Jimmy of Fort Lauderdale, Kathy Edwards and her husband Mario of Mt. Dora as well as his brother, Kirk Edwards of Pompano Beach. He leaves behind five loving nephews, Joseph Waller of E. Bridgewater, Massachusetts, Michael Mazzeo of Fort Lauderdale, Cory Grant of Hollywood, Nicholas Mazzeo and Eric Mazzeo, both of Ft. Lauderdale, four great nephews and two great nieces. As a boy, Keith excelled at playing baseball and was a member of the all star team in his town. He was very close to his brother-in-law, Jimmy Mazzeo. They loved to go fishing and many memorable times were experienced over the years. As he grew older, he was a voracious reader of books, mostly military history as well as a devoted movie buff. A lifelong fan of the New England Patriots and Boston Red Sox, his enthusiasm and sharp sense of humor will be greatly missed. A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held on July 11, 2020 at 2 pm at First Christian Church of Wilton Manors, 2725 NE 14th Avenue, Wilton Manors, FL 33334. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Keith’s name to Abandoned Pet Rescue, 1137 NE 9th Avenue, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33304.
