Edwards, Katherine, 95, of Pompano Beach, passed on March 25, 2021. Katherine was born on July 20, 1925, in Boston, Massachusetts, and was a 48 year resident. She is preceded in death by her husband, Lucius, and her son, Keith. She is survived by her daughter Kris Mazzeo and her husband Jimmy of Fort Lauderdale, daughter Kathy Edwards and her husband Mario of Mt. Dora, and her son, Kirk Edwards of Pompano Beach. She leaves behind 6 grandchildren, Joseph Waller of E. Bridgewater, Massachusetts, Michael Mazzeo of Fort Lauderdale, Cory Grant of Hollywood, Nicholas Mazzeo and Eric Mazzeo, both of Ft. Lauderdale and granddaughter Shannon Edwards of Wilton Manors. She also leaves behind four great-grandsons and two great-granddaughters. Katherine loved many things, but most important to her was her family. She was the most dedicated grandmother and all her grandchildren adored her. She took care of them every day while their parents worked. She was always there for everyone with her love and caring. She loved classical music, historical books, animals and the series Outlander. She was sharp witted and had an amazing sense of humor, to the delight of everyone around her. She was the Matriarch of the family and provided her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren with an abundance of love, understanding and wisdom. A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held on April 17, 2021 at 3pm at First Christian Church of Wilton Manors, 2725 NE 14th Avenue, Wilton Manors, FL 33334.
