John J Chikerotis

John J. Chikerotis, 59, of Oakland Park, passed away on Friday, September 3, 2021. Originally from Chicago, Illinois, John lived in South Florida for the last 36 years, and spent the last 35 years as a Sheriff’s Deputy with the Broward Sheriff’s Office in Deerfield Beach. John was also an assistant football coach at Cardinal Gibbons High School. John is survived by his wife of 31 years, Kristine; his sons, Ryan and Matthew; his daughter, Sandra (Grant) of Westmont, Illinois, and his grandson, Ronan. A memorial service for John will be held on Wednesday, September 8, 2021, at 6:00 PM at the North Pavilion, 300 N. A1A, Deerfield Beach. John will be laid to rest in his hometown of Chicago. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network. Arrangements have been entrusted to Edwards Cremation & Funeral Services in Wilton Manors.
