Helen C. Putman

Helen C. Mlynek Putman, age 90, of Pompano Beach, Florida passed away on Wednesday November 6, 2024. Helen was born in Toledo, Ohio April 27, 1934. She was the daughter of the late Thomas and Agnes(Lukes) Mlynek of the Czech Republic. Helen started working as a switchboard operator with Ohio Bell after graduating from Waite High school in Toledo, Ohio. She moved to Ft Lauderdale, Fl in 1965. She retired after 40 years from the Broward General Hospital District as a PBX telephone Operator in 2012. She is survived by her daughter, Dr Pamela Putman(Len Wise) of Weaverville, North Carolina, her son, Jeffrey Mlynek of Pompano Beach, Florida, her brother Paul(Linda) Mlynek, brother-in-law Charles Swanson and sisters-in-law Jeanette Mlynek of Oregon, Ohio as well as many nieces and nephews and their children and loved ones. She is preceded in death by her parents; brothers Thomas Mlynek and Joseph Mlynek and sisters Anna Rose Mlynek, Lillian Lammie, Mary Teachout and Anna Swanson. A private service and interment will be held in Oregon, Ohio at St Ignatius Catholic Church in Spring 2025. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to the Alzheimer’s Association or the American Cancer Society.
