Mark D. Sturgis

Mark D. Sturgis, 66, of Tamarac, went to be with his Lord and Savior on January 10, 2018 with his wife and sons by his side. A Fort Lauderdale native, Mark was a lifetime Land Surveyor who spent over 30 years working for Winningham and Lively, All County Surveyors and Accurate Land Surveyors, before finally finding his final home with Winningham & Fradley for the last 15 years of his life. Mark was a member of The First Christian Church of Wilton Manors for over 25 years where he was intimately involved with the Church Board, the Music Ministry, and his greatest passion, the Youth Ministry. Mark is survived by his wife of 34 years, Christine, his sons, Aaron and Jordan Sturgis, and his daughter Shannon Waltz. He had three grandchildren, Violet Sturgis, and Cora and Robert Waltz. He is also survived by his brothers and sisters, Gregory, Gary, and Michael Sturgis, Dawn Treanor and Laura Roberts. He had many loving in-laws, Valorie Sturgis, Kathleen Sturgis, Robin Litsinberger, and Brian Waltz and Mike Treanor. He also had countless nieces, nephews, and cousins – all of whom he loved dearly, and far too many to be listed here. A celebration of Mark’s life will be held on Saturday, January 20th, 2018, 1PM at the First Christian Church of Wilton Manors, 2725 NE 14th Ave. Arrangements entrusted to Edwards Cremation & Funeral Services, Wilton Manors.
