Carmody, Allen Patrick "Al", 30, passed away on Thursday, November 30th, 2017. He was born on January 19th, 1987 in Ft. Lauderdale. He grew up in Wilton Manors, the son of Diane and Patrick Carmody and younger brother to Amanda. He attended St. Clement Catholic School (K-8) and graduated St. Thomas Aquinas High School in 2005. He had a full ride for football to Hofstra University and graduated with a Business/Finance degree in 2010. Al was a one of a kind, amazing human being, with a huge heart and great sense of humor that he shared with family and friends. He loved sports and was a team player. Aside from the many recreational sports he grew up playing, he excelled in hockey, took martial arts with his sister, enjoyed shooting hoops with his buddies, and loved his position as Defensive End for STA and Hofstra. He moved to Michigan in June 2015, where he was a manager for Buffalo Wild Wings restaurants. It was at that time he met his girlfriend, Kristin Pope, and their daughter, Nella Justine Carmody, was born on August 11th, 2017. Nella was the light of his life and will continue to be through eternity. Al had so much life left to live and will be truly missed by all; his family, friends, and teammates. He is survived by his mother and father, Diane (Muzzillo) and Patrick Carmody of Fort Lauderdale; sister, Amanda (Jason) Schoonover and his niece and nephew, Zoe and Scott, of Vero Beach; maternal grandmother, Lucy "Gramma" Dariano of Boyton Beach; companion, Kristin Pope, and daughter, Nella Carmody, of Beverly Hills, MI; the extended Pope family of MI; a large extended family of loving aunts, uncles, and cousins; friends, teammates, and lifelong best buds.He is preceded in death by maternal grandfather, Jack Muzzillo; paternal grandparents, James and Bernice Carmody; maternal uncle, Tom Menge; maternal aunt, Diana Muzzillo; paternal uncle and Godfather, Tim Carmody. The viewings are Thursday and Friday at First Christian Church of Wilton Manors, 2725 N.E.14th Ave, Wilton Manors FL 33334, from 5pm-8pm. The Mass will be held on Saturday at St. Clement Church, 2975 N. Andrews Ave. Wilton Manors FL 33311, at 1pm.
