Mark David Braden

On September 16, 2016, Mark “Brady” David Braden, Sr. was called home to be with the Lord. Mark was born on August 27, 1952 at Mt. Pleasant, Michigan. The beloved son and oldest child of Betty (Lloyd) Braden and Verne “Skip” Braden. Mark attended and graduated from Ft. Lauderdale High School, in 1970 where he began his life long career as a self-employed pool technician. “Brady” was an avid outdoorsman whom loved the ocean, scuba diving, fishing, and boating. Devoted father, brother, and grandfather. Mark is survived by his mother Betty Braden of Sebring, Florida; father “Skip” Braden of Unicoi, Tennessee; mother of his children Sue Gillespie of Canton, Georgia; son Mark Jr. & Maria Braden, their 2 children Mark III & Bailey of West Des Moines, Iowa; son Matthew & Heidi Braden, Matthew’s son Jackson of Houston, Texas, and their 2 children Georgia & Logan of Canton, Georgia; Brother Eric & Coli Braden of Citra, Florida; sister Cheryl Dawson, of Boca Raton, Florida; Seven nieces and four nephews. Other relatives that live in Florida, Tennessee, and Michigan, as well as a great many friends. Mark passed peacefully while being cared for at: Vitas Innovative Hospice Care at Broward Health North. A celebration of life will be held at Hugh Taylor Birch State Park on September 18, 2016 at 2pm. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made to Camp Hosanna (camphosanna.org) or the Marine Conservation Institute (marine-conservation.org) via the link gofundme.com/markbradenmemorial.
