Jerry V. Pearson, 71, of Fort Lauderdale, FL, peacefully returned to his heavenly home Thursday, December 3, 2015 surrounded by loved ones. His devotion to his family and his firm belief in The Lord supported him in his valiant battle with cancer and ultimately gave him peace. He was preceded in death two weeks earlier by his beloved wife of 40 years, Cristina Pearson. He is survived by his 3 children Heather (Dan), Jerry, and Janette (Ryan); cherished grandchildren Christina, Sarah and Robert; sister, Janet Powell; sister-in-law, Cheri Pearson; nephews, Brett Powell (Linda) and Wayne Powell (Colette); niece, Jennifer Moore; great nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents Earl (Big Dad) and Treva (Mama T) Pearson; and his brother Kaye Pearson. Born in Eustis, FL on January 25, 1944, Jerry was a true Floridian. He grew up in Miami, FL where he attended Miami High and excelled in football and golf. Jerry was a devoted, charismatic, courageous, caring and loving husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend who always put a smile on your face. He worked for many years with family at Show Management and volunteered countless hours coaching his children's athletic teams. He owned and operated a cigar lounge upon his retirement. Daddy, Papa - thank you for the man that you are. You will be forever in our hearts. A Celebration of Life will be held at 12PM Saturday, December 12th at Church By the Sea, 2700 Mayan Drive, Ft. Laud., FL 33316.
