Patti Donoghue Strange

November 5, 1958 — March 15, 2015

Patti Donoghue Strange, 56, died Tuesday March 17 in her home in Brentwood Tennessee just outside of Nashville. Patti grew up in Ft. Lauderdale attending St. Clements Elementary School then Cardinal Gibbons High School. After Ft. Lauderdale she spent the remaining years of her life in Tennessee. She graduated from The University of Tennessee where she was an active member of Zeta Tau Alpha Sorority and obtained a degree in Speech Therapy. It was also there that she met the love of her life, her husband of 34 years, Dr. Glen Strange Jr. After college they moved from Knoxville to Memphis then on to Nashville where her husband practiced Anesthesiology. For the remainder of her life with Glen, Patti raised two children, was involved in numerous charities and pursued a successful career in real estate. She was an avid runner, water skier, and football fan. She loved to entertain and had many devoted friends. She is survived by her parents Jack and Jean Donoghue of Wilton Manors, her siblings and their spouses Michael and Sandy Donoghue, Jamie and Andrea Donoghue, Mary K. and Andy Guberman, her husband Glen and their daughter Kelly and son Mitch, his wife Kristen. Words cannot describe what a wonderful person Patti was. She had a great sense of humor and enormous compassion. She was a great mother, wife, daughter, and friend to all. She will be sorely missed. Services will be held at Holy Family Catholic Church March 22-23. Visitation from 1-4 on Sunday and the funeral service on Monday at 10 am. All arrangements are being made through Austin Funeral Services 615-377-0775. In lieu of flowers the family has asked that donations be made to Monroe Harding Children’s Home.
