Eugene B Rimes

Eugene Booth Rimes III died December 23rd, 2014. Gene was born August 31, 1931, in Orlando, Florida, to Marion Harper and Eugene Rimes, Jr. He graduated from the University of Miami before serving in the Army Transportation Corps during the Korean War. While in the Army, Gene met and married Ann Jernigan and had three daughters, Tamara Rimes (Edward) Merrigan, Susan Rimes (Jack) Seiler, and Alissa Rimes (Michael) Maguire. After his Army service, Gene attended and graduated from the University of Florida Law School in 1958. He then opened Rimes, Greaton & Murphy Law Offices in Ft. Lauderdale. After retiring from the practice of law, Gene travelled all over the world before settling back in Ft. Lauderdale. He enjoyed the company of his dear friend Josie House and his nine grandchildren; Marianna, Jacqueline, Preston and Susanne Seiler, Annie and Amelia Ostrander, and Olivia, Joseph and Emily Maguire. Eugene Rimes lived a long and full life and will be deeply missed by many. Services will be held Tuesday, December 30th, 11:00 a.m. at Christ Church, 4845 N.E. 25th Avenue, Ft. Lauderdale 33308.
