Eugene H. Munz

Eugene H. Munz 84, of Ft. Lauderdale died on Monday June 2, 2014 with his family by his side. A Florida resident since 1989 formerly from Thornwood, N.Y., before retiring to Saratoga Springs, NY. Eugene served in Korea as a captain in the Marine Corps. He retired as a manager from Ma Bell in the Engineering Division after 37 years of dedicated service. He attended Stuyvesant H.S., received his EE Degree at NYU and his Masters at St. Johns University. Active in community serving on local school and zoning boards. Survived by his Wife Patricia (Nee) Clapp Munz, Sons: Stephen (Jeanne) Munz, of Valhalla, N.Y., Andrew (Regina) Munz, of Mahopac N.Y. Daughter: Claudia (Edward) Fitzsenry of Danbury, Conn. He is also survived by 8 Grandchildren and 7 Great Grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 12:00 on Sunday June 8, 2014 at Community Church Lauderdale by the Sea, 4433 Bougainvilla Dr. In Lieu of Flowers donations can be made to Community Church Lauderdale by the Sea building fund.
