Beverly (Bev) Greene Habig passed away on April 24, 2012, after an extensive battle with breast cancer, she was 48. Born in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, on October 13, 1963, Beverly graduated from Stranahan High School, class of 81, and has resided in Plantation, Florida, for the past 20 years. She gave thirty years of dedicated service to the court system, starting with the Clerk of the Courts and serving as a Judicial Assistant for the last 12 years. Diagnosed with this devastating disease two years ago, Beverly never gave up the fight. She maintained a brave and cheerful outlook throughout her ordeal. Interested only in the happiness and well being of others, Beverly never complained and always had a smile on her face. Beverly was the most loving and devoted mother to her two children Amanda (17) and Cole (15), they were her whole world. She cherished every moment spent with them, she never missed a dive meet with Amanda or a baseball game with Cole – she was their biggest fan and cheerleader. Her husband Tim describes Beverly as the most honest, caring, loving and beautiful person – she was his best friend. Her family and friends knew Beverly as the most loyal, compassionate and giving person they had ever known. She never said an unkind word about anyone – she always saw the good in everyone. Beverly is survived by her loving and devoted husband Tim, her two children Amanda and Cole, her mother Mary Jane, brother Mikel and Peggy Greene, sister-in-laws Beth Brand and Arlene Gaff, and brother-in-law Robert Habig. Beverly has ten nieces and nephews, all who will miss her deeply. A Funeral service celebrating Beverly’s life will begin at 12:30 pm on Monday, April 30th, 2012, at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, 2401 Davie Road, Fort Lauderdale, FL, 33317.
