Stella Marion O'Gorman

Stella M. O'Gorman 98, of Wilton Manors passed away on Wednesday February 29, 2012. A resident for 59 years formerly form Pittsfield Mass. and White Plains, NY. Stella and her late husband Jay operated O’Gorman’s club lounge, Pleasantville, NY. They moved to Florida in 1954 and opened, O’Gorman Van Lines. Stella established the first post office in Wilton Manors and received a letter of commendation from city of Wilton Manors for excellent service in 1959. She was a founding member of St. Clements Catholic Church, early member of Wilton Manors Women’s Club. Worked at Williams City and Eckerd Drugs Store, was phone secretary at O'Gorman Bros. Van Lines. Survived by her Sons: Joseph (Gloria) O'Gorman and Jay O'Gorman of Wilton Manors. Grandsons: Joseph O'Gorman IV, Michael O'Gorman Sr. Great Grandchildren. Calista O'Gorman, Michael O'Gorman Jr. Shawn O'Gorman. Family will receive friends Tuesday from 6 to 8 P.M at the First Christian Church of Wilton Manors 2725 N.E 14th Ave. Funeral Mass will be Wednesday 9:30 A.M at St. Clements Catholic Church Wilton Manors.
